糖 General Exam Rules & Guidelines
Before applying for any government competitive exam, candidates must be aware of the following general rules that apply to most Gujarat Government and Central Government exams:
- Negative Marking: Most MCQ-based exams (like CCE, LRD, GPSC) have a negative marking system of 0.25 or 0.33 marks for every wrong answer. It is advisable to skip questions if you are unsure to avoid penalty.
- Computer Based Test (CBT): Many exams, including CCE Class-3 and Forest Guard, have shifted from OMR-based to Computer Based Tests. Practice typing and using a mouse is recommended.
- E-Option: In Gujarat exams (OMR based), if a candidate does not want to attempt a question, they must bubble the 'E' option. Leaving it blank may attract a penalty.
- Normalization: For exams conducted in multiple shifts (like SSC, Railways, CCE), marks are normalized to ensure fairness across different difficulty levels of papers.
庁 Preparation Tips
- Stick to the Syllabus: Do not study topics outside the official syllabus.
- GCERT & NCERT: For Gujarat exams, Std 6 to 10 GCERT textbooks are the "Bible". For Central exams, NCERT is a must.
- Current Affairs: Read daily newspapers or monthly magazines. The weightage of current affairs is increasing in every exam.
